MYBiomass Sdn. Bhd. (“MYBiomass”) ist eine von der Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT) initiierte Zweckgesellschaft, die zusammen mit FGV Holdings Berhad und Sime Darby Plantation Berhad gegründet wurde, um koordinierte Pionierarbeit im Bereich hochwertiger grüner Chemikalien und Bioraffineriematerialien zu leisten.

Das vorrangige Ziel von MYBiomass ist es, die Wertschöpfungskette der Biomasse-Industrie durch die Produktion hochwertiger grüner Chemikalien voranzutreiben, so dass sie in Folgeanwendungen eingesetzt werden können und der Material-, Energie- und Pharmaindustrie zugute kommen. Es wird erwartet, dass MYBiomass einen wesentlichen Beitrag zur Produktion von hochwertigen grünen Chemikalien und Materialien für lokale und internationale Akteure leisten wird.

Als erneuerbare Ressource kann Biomasse die schwindenden Ressourcen wie fossile Rohstoffe ergänzen und/oder ersetzen. Darüber hinaus überwindet die Produktion von Chemikalien aus lignozellulosehaltiger Biomasse die Problematik, die sich aus der Verwendung von Lebensmitteln zur Herstellung von Kraftstoffen ergibt. Infolgedessen kann die Nachhaltigkeit der Produkte beibehalten und die Preisvolatilität gemildert werden. Darüber hinaus wird durch die Verwendung von grünen Chemikalien die Kohlenstoffausscheidung in der Produktlieferkette reduziert.

Nestlé begann in Malaysia 1912 als Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company in Penang seinen Betrieb und machte im Jahr 1939 aus Wachstums- und Expansionsgründen einen notwendigen Umzug nach Kuala Lumpur.

Nach der Unabhängigkeit des Landes im Jahr 1957 entstand ein Bedarf an mehr Arbeitsplätzen und mehr Produktoptionen. Daraufhin begannen wir Mitte der 1960er Jahre mit der Herstellung unserer begehrten kulinarischen Produkte unter dem weithin beliebten Firmennamen MAGGI. Dies führte zur Gründung unserer ersten Produktionsstätte in Malaysia.

Heute betreibt Nestlé Malaysia sechs Fabriken und beschäftigt landesweit mehr als 4.600 Mitarbeiter, die mehr als 500 Halal-zertifizierte Produkte herstellen.

K.G.Pastry Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is one of the leading frozen food manufacturers and traders in Malaysia. Prior to its incorporation in 1992, the company operated under the name of Kian Guan Trading Company in the frozen food industry for more than 10 years.

In its formative years, the company’s principal product was spring roll pastry. Today, the company carries a whole range of frozen oriental pastries and food products under its own brand name “KG”. These include spring rolls, samosa, ‘mantou’ (a Chinese bun), mini buns, glutinous rice balls, lotus leaves glutinous rice, rice dumplings, ‘kuih bakul’ (a Chinese New Year cake), flower rolls, silver thread loaves, French fries and mixed vegetables. All of K.G. Pastry’s products are ‘halal’ certified in line with the Government’s effort to promote Malaysia as the leading international producer of ‘halal’ products. The company’s products are also exported all over the world – to the U.S.A., U.K, U.A.E., Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Singapore.

A subsidiary, Kawan Food Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd., specialises in the production of puff pastries and Indian foods such as ‘roti paratha’, ‘naan’ and ‘chapatti’ (Indian breads), and ‘dhall’ curries. The company is especially well-known internationally for its ‘roti paratha’ as it is one of the main suppliers of the product in the international market. Its ‘roti paratha’ is produced using the latest state-of-the-art machinery and meets the highest international quality and hygiene standards. We are especially proud that our ‘roti paratha’ is included in the food menu in Disneyland Japan.
