UMW Aerospace Sdn Bhd’s main core business is to manufacture and assemble fan cases for Rolls-Royce aero engines, with a 25 + 5 year contract with Rolls-Royce Plc, making it the first Malaysian company to be a Tier-1 aerospace engine component manufacturer. These products are being manufactured in a highly-equipped plant in Serendah, Malaysia to complement its counterpart, the Rolls-Royce engine assembly plant in Singapore.
A combination of skilled workforce made up of engineers, highly trained workers and dedicated management personnel with a good eye for the aerospace manufacturing industry, have since been running this operation. The subdivision’s efficiency and high-quality product delivery have paved the way for UMW Group to embark in new high value manufacturing ventures.
