In line with the Government’s initiative to promote innovation,
creativity and competitiveness in embracing the Fourth Industrial
Revolution, Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA)
will be hosting the Launching of the `Federation of Malaysian
Fashion Textiles & Apparels’ (FMFTA) with the theme ‘Fashion and
Technology Shaping the Future’. The details of event are as the following.

Venue : MIDA Perdana Hall, 10th Floor,
               MIDA, KL Sentral

The formation of this Federation is viewed as the ‘Next Step’ in facilitating the transformation into 

digitalisation and integration of the elements of technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), 

Artificial Intelligence (AI), Digital Printing, and Cloud Computing; both in the front end as well as the 

back end of the Fashion Textiles and Apparels Industry.

Major Objectives

• To be the collective and cohesive voice of the industry in Malaysia and facilitate the domestic and international activities of its members
• To as act as a focal consultation point between government and its related agencies in policy advocacy, formulating strategies and strategic programmes recommendations
• To coordinate, promote and spearhead progressive development as to boost domestic consumption and doubling the export
• To encourage Malaysian designers to capitalise on their talent into a higher value added activities.
