A highly skilled workforce remains a key enabler of Malaysia’s transition towards electric vehicles (EVs) and smart manufacturing. Feytech Holdings Berhad signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Consortium Automotive of Malaysian Universities (CAuto), witnessed by MIDA, to strengthen industry-academia collaboration and prepare engineering graduates for the future of mobility.

Led by Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), CAuto brings together five leading public technical universities to establish structured pathways for industrial training, work-based learning and graduate employment under the Ministry of Higher Education’s Research and Industry-Infused Incubator (MRI3) framework.

The collaboration will provide students with hands-on exposure to electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing, smart production technologies and real-world industry challenges, while creating opportunities for internships, final-year projects and potential employment within Feytech’s ecosystem. The initiative also supports closer alignment between academic programmes and industry needs as the automotive sector continues to evolve.

The collaboration highlights the importance of stronger industry-academia partnerships in developing future-ready talent, supporting automotive innovation and enhancing Malaysia’s competitiveness in next-generation manufacturing.
