MIDA Mumbai had participated in the virtual Roundtable Meeting with various industries associations on 23 September 2021.  The event as part of Selangor Virtual Investment Mission led by YB Dato’ Teng Chang Khim, Selangor State Executive Councillor. During the meeting, MIDA Mumbai briefed participants on the current business environment in Malaysia.

Domestic Investment Division had successfully organised Startup Pitching Session Webinar Series II/2021* together with Cyberview on 23 September 2021.

Mr. Ahmad Khairuddin, Deputy CEO, Investment Development of MIDA has delivered welcome remarks in the program.

The program was attended by 166 participants from Manufacturing and Services sector, Associations, Financial Institutions and reputable banks.

The webinar main objectives are :

1. To Aid businesses to remain competitive and sustainable by intensifying innovation in their business operations.
2. To assist local start-ups companies in marketing their services that able to meet the need of the industries and societies.
3. To attract the attention of the market and the future investors by having business funding for start-ups.

Startup Pitching Session Webinar Series II/2021*

On 22 September 2021, MIDA had successfully co-organised the Perodua Lighthouse 2.0 Kickoff Webinar. The program was attended by 49 participants, anchored by Perodua and participated by 5 vendor companies. ATRD brought 2 speakers from #MyIoTA and #MAIA to present on Transformation Agenda on Industry4.0 Adoption, Challenges & Benefits. Among the salient points during the discussion session includes:

• Transformation success including technology adoption requires top down support with full commitment from all stakeholders
• Successful realisation of Industry4.0 adoption will also create opportunity to diversify business portfolio
• 4IR/Industry4.0 is disruptive in nature. Business model will change and business survival is tougher without implementation plans for adoption.
