“We would like to thank DHL, one of the world’s largest logistic companies, for entrusting us to construct this ultra-modern logistics commercial complex, equipped with pallet automated storage and retrieval systems and automated guided vehicles robotics technology.
“This partnership will open up more opportunities for Titijaya on similar projects, this project marks our first venture into a premium semiconductor facility and shall contribute positively to the company’s prospects,” he said in a speech at the signing of the Letter of Intent (LOI) here today.
The LOI was signed by Lim and DHL Supply Chain Malaysia managing director, Mario Lorenz, witnessed by the Penang Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak and Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.
Commenting on the project, Lorenz said contract logistics is an integral segment for any manufacturer to ensure a seamless supply chain, adding that the facility is a reflection of the customers’ trust in DHL’s capability in providing logistics solutions.
“Furthermore, its close proximity to the Penang International Airport and the Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Bridge makes it a strategic location for a business to thrive,” he added.
