Tenaga ranked among top 250 global energy companies in 2021

Utility giant Tenaga Nasional Bhd has been named among the 2021 S&P Global Platts Top 250 Global Energy Company Ranking.

Tenaga, which operates and maintains thermal generation facilities and hydroelectric power generating schemes, as well as supports independent power producers; and manages and operates the National Grid, was ranked 79 in the list.

This was a year-on-year improvement as in 2020, Tenaga was ranked at number 90.

S&P Global Platts calculates and ranks publically traded companies based on their asset worth, revenues, profits and return on invested capital.

Each company listed in the Platts Top 250 has distinguished itself through its remarkable performance and the outstanding efforts and dedication of its team in the previous year.

Topping the list was Saudi Arabian Oil Co, followed by China Shenhua Energy Co Ltd and Reliance Industries Ltd.
