MSC Malaysia Status
The Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) was established to accelerate the growth of the country’s digital economy. It is a special economic zone designed to support the innovative ecosystem of IT and IT-enabled industries and the growth of the country’s digital economy.
MIDA works with the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) to drive the country towards digital adoption, digital entrepreneurship and innovation. Companies that can contribute to these nation-building goals and meet the necessary requirements are granted the MSC Malaysia Status, which offers compatible tax incentives.
As of December 2019, there are 2,911 active companies with the MSC Malaysia status, while revenue generated since its inception in 1996 to Q3 2019 stands at RM513.6 billion with 180,926 jobs created as of Q3 2019. (Source: MDEC)
