MIDA intensifies efforts to increase i-incentives portal users

02 Oct 2019

The i-incentives portal, which features 126 federal government incentives, aims to increase the number of users from 2,000 businesses currently, Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) senior executive
director Ahmad Khairuddin Abdul Rahim said.

The 126 incentives, he said, are managed by 13 ministries and 29 agencies, and they include tax exemptions, grants, soft loans and equity financing.

“We are intensifying our promotional efforts and reaching out to more businesses out there,” he said in a statement today.

The i-Incentive portal, launched last year, was developed by the Incentives Coordination and Collaboration Office (ICCO) of MIDA which underscores the agency committed to enhancing the ease of doing business in Malaysia.

ICCO seeks to improve the central coordination of all incentive offerings by the federal government and strengthen the effectiveness of the government’s incentives mechanism by increasing transparency, eliminating duplication and linking to performance.
