The Annual Media Conference (AMC) is organised by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) to announce Malaysia’s investment performance in the manufacturing, services and primary sectors 2022.
Past AMCs have witnessed an overwhelming response with 150 guests attending the in-person event held at MIDA Sentral in Kuala Lumpur Sentral. The AMC 2022 was conducted in a hybrid mode, in light of the global health pandemic a considering the safety standard operating procedures (SOPs) directed by the Malaysian National Security Council (MKN).
This year’s announcement will be conducted on a physical event with the vast majority of our guest being invited to be part of this hallmark event on 8 March 2023 (Wednesday).
The Malaysia Investment Performance Report 2022 with the theme ‘Sustainable Investment for Growth’ which will be launched during AMC 2023 and all supplementary information as well as Quality Projects Showcase will also be featured on this site.
Malaysia Attracted RM264.6 Billion (USD59.9 Billion) in Approved Investments for 2022, to Focus on Investments that Promote Sustainable Economic Growth and Prosperity for the People
Kuala Lumpur, 8 March 2023 – With the announcement of RM264.6 billion in approved investments for 2022, the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) has demonstrated Malaysia’s status as a preferred investment destination. Under the theme “Sustainable Investments for Growth,” the country’s manufacturing, services, and primary sectors have demonstrated resilience in the face of a challenging economic landscape, proving that Malaysia continues to inspire confidence and remains a preferred destination for global investors seeking stable, long-term opportunities.
The Malaysia Investment Performance Report by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) is an annual review of approved investments in three (3) main sectors of the economy. The report provides brief overviews of Malaysia’s industry sectors and some services sub-sectors, including foreign and domestic investments data. There is an additional information on the Government’s and MIDA’s efforts in attracting investments to Malaysia.
