Sino Hua-An, Country Heights in smart city partnership

26 Oct 2020

Sino Hua-An International Bhd, through wholly-owned Touchpoint International Sdn Bhd (TPI), has formed a partnership with Country Heights Holdings Bhd to build a smart city platform for the Mines township.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today by both parties to collaborate, develop and position the Mines Wellness City to be the first township in Malaysia to use smart city app.

It will be called the M Smart City App (MSA), with cryptocurrency enablement.

Hua-Ann said the Mines community would benefit from integrated digital services, cutting edge community engagement and smart city management all on one smart city app.

The signing parties are Hua-Ann executive chairman Tunku Naquiyuddin Tuanku Ja’afar, Country Heightd founder and executive chairman Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew.

Tunku Naquiyuddin said TPI is a leader in digital transformation solution and smart city platforms.

The company had in May developed M Squared, a multisided, mobile-first community platform.

M Squared is designed to help commercial, government and social communities connect and interact digitally on one platform.

“TPI’s smart city platform which currently powers Putrajaya, offers game-changing platform solutions that benefit individuals, businesses and local government.

“With its mobile community platform solution users can conveniently do multiple things online on their phone and local businesses can better serve and connect with their customers,” he said in a statement today.

Lee said he had recently announced his plan to step down from Country Heights in January 2021 and would be passing the baton to the new directors to implement the Digital Transformation and its integrated wellness business.

“This is the first step of our digital transformation plan to focus on integrating our entire Mines township through the adoption of blockchain technologies platform.

“We will use this technology to ink with our ecosystem and all of our developments,” he said.

Targeted for launch by March next year, the M Smart City Platform and Mobile MSA aim to connect all residents, guests, visitors and merchants of Mines community, and to any other end users required by Country Heights.
