Malaysia is an attractive country for investments. Its stable political environment makes it a conducive investment hub. Supported by investor-friendly policies and institutions paired with the country’s established infrastructure and supply of skilled labour, Bosch continues to see the potential of Malaysia as a strategic location for business as well as manufacturing.
To further strengthen Malaysia as a location for global manufacturing as well as research and development, the Bosch Group invested close to RM630 million (138 million euros) into the country in the past five years since 2011 – over RM160 million (35 million euros) alone in 2016. The increased investment was in part, channelled into upscaling the overall production capacity in addition to establishing the Regional Distribution Centre for the Power Tools division.
Bosch has a long history in Malaysia. MIDA had consistently supported Bosch’s initiatives in the country, especially in the setting up of our facilities over the past decades. Standing as the go-to government agency for multinational companies, MIDA acts as a strong governmental support that we highly appreciate. From timely support to investment incentives that help shape the future of the country, we are appreciative of MIDA’s continuous assistance.
