The Industrial Internet of Things and Smart Manufacturing era has arrived and it will continue to evolve and converging new and disruptive technologies. This new direction is highly-connected and knowledge-enabled, where devices and processes are connected, monitored, and optimized. Malaysian's manufacturing & services sectors needs to adapt and embrace these new and disruptive technologies, from big data analytic, cyber-physical system and machine to machine communication (M2M) to accelerate further in the ever changing global environment.
This seminar will be officiated by MITI Minister, YB Dato' Sri Mustapa Mohamed will kick off the first series of events that MIDA plans to undertake as part of our 50 years anniversary celebration to promote investment in the new and challenging era of global connectivity and revolutionary approach of doing business.
The objectives of the seminar are to:
- Create awareness for local business communities on the emergence of smart manufacturing technologies that will disrupt the manufacturing landscape by improvement in yields, productivity and efficiency
- Provide the latest update on government policies, incentives, facilities and support services available to support the implementation of smart manufacturing in Malaysia
- Highlight potential business opportunities in smart manufacturing
- Provide a forum for the business community to network with key technical solution providers and government agencies
