Ramly signs deal to set up RM274m factory

Ramly Group unit, Ramly Food Industries Sdn Bhd, has signed an agreement with Agrobank and Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Bhd for syndicated financing worth RM274mil to set up a new factory complex in Klang.

Equipped with automatic machines, it is located at the Taman Perindustrian Halal Hub, in Pulau Indah Klang.

Ramly managing director, Datuk Ramly Mokni, said the 8.5ha complex would comprise a production factory, halal logistics, frozen and dry storage depot, training centre and research and development department.

“I appreciate the banks’ commitment in assisting a bumiputra company like Ramly’s towards progressing in the halal toyibban (clean, good and safe food) processing industry in the national and international market,” he said at the signing ceremony.

The RM1bil complex, which will be built in three phases, is scheduled for completion by end-2017. – Bernama
