Seeburger opens regional HQ in Malaysia
Germany-based Seeburger, a business integration and managed file transfer (MFT) solutions provider, has opened its Asean regional headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.
Speaking at the opening of the regional headquarters, Seeburger Asia Pacific Ltd Regional Director, James Hatcher attributed the company’s decision to set up its regional headquarters in Malaysia to lower operational costs, central geographic location, the maturity of the Malaysian information, communication technology (ICT) market and its growth prospects.
Hatcher said Malaysia had significant opportunities and immense growth potential particularly noting the country’s move in the direction of data security compliance, especially in the Critical national Information Infrastructure (CNII) sectorssuch as
He also noted Malaysia’s lead position in data security with the expected enforcement of the Information Security and Management (ISMS) certification by February next year.
The move will open up more business opportunities as organisations here will incorporate higher information security system and efficient file transfer system to adhere to the country's new data security and governance policy.
He said being in Kuala Lumpur would facilitate its regional partners in sales support and technical implementation. Seeburger expects to expand to the other Asean market through strategic collaborations with selected ICT partners from the member countries.
Seeburger counts Time Engineering Bhd and Datamation (M) Sdn Bhd as partners here and is looking forward to secure contracts with two large corporations by year-end.
