Leadership, Knowledge & Technology, this is the underlying philosophy that has enabled LKT, a technology company headquartered in Penang, to grow from strength to strength over the years. Founded in 1948, LKT started its operations as a foundry that manufactures metal products such as household fencing, window grills and metal doors. Beginning from the 1960s, the company began diversifying and expanding its product range and nature of business.

LKT is primarily involved in providing solutions in design and manufacture of automated equipment including its precursory services, for the semiconductor and related microelectronics industries. The integrated manufacturing network of the Group forms a unique set of capability to provide customers with solutions ranging from custom tooling fabrication, machine steel structure fabrication, plastic injection moulding and CNC machining and assembly solutions to customers across a variety of industries. LKT also owns brands of ergonomic industrial storage systems and precision cutting tools, sold through its distribution channels worldwide.

Listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia with a paid-up capital of US$18 million, LKT's products are exported to countries across Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas.

LKT's diverse operations can be categorized into five divisions:

(ii) Engineering Business Division
(iii) Component Technology Division
(iv) Equipment Instrument System Division
(v) Industrial Product Division

LKT is a major player in the semiconductor industry, supplying industrial automation equipment, precision tooling, plastic injection molding services, original equipment, manufacturing equipment, contract manufacturing as well as industrial storage cabinet system.
