The Malaysian Industrial Development Authority which is in the process of being corporatised and renamed as Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), will be able to approve investments of up to RM1billion after relevant amendments are made to the Promotion of Investments Act 1986; Income Tax Act 1967, and the MIDA Act 1965, says Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
