Kedah Bioresources Corp Sdn Bhd (KBioCorp), a subsidiary of Kulim Technology Park Corp Bhd (KTPC), is investing RM13million in three joint research and development projects with Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Kedah Agro Biotech Sdn Bhd and Orchid Life Sdn Bhd and AIMST University in the areas of food, herbal and seedling products, as well as to train human resource in biotechnology.



08/06/10: Celcom Axiata to invest RM800m to strengthen broadband infrastructure

Celcom Axiata Bhd, a leading telecommunications group in Malaysia, will invest RM800 million or 80 % of its RM1 billion planned capital expenditure, to establish 900 base stations, upgrade its existing base stations and third-generation broadband as well as purchase land over the next one year.

The Linde Group of Germany is on an expansion drive at its Malaysian operations under MOX-Linde Gases Sdn Bhd, with the latest investment of RM60 million to set up a carbon dioxide (CO2) plant in Terengganu, following the company's RM200 million investment to build an air separation plant in Pasir Gudang, Johor.

IMPSA Malaysia Sdn Bhd will partner Indonesia's PT Impha Nusantara Mandiri, a subsidiary of Kumpulan Profesional Indonesia-Malaysia Berkaitan Tenaga Hidro (IMPHB), to build two US$500 million (RM1.5 billion) hydro-electric power stations in Longgi (East Kalimantan) and Makale (South Sulawesi) in Indonesia.
